PROJECT SUBMITTED IN THE NEW BUILD AND SUSTAINABILITY CATEGORIES OF THE HISPALYT ARCHITECTURE AWARDS 2023-2025 – VII ROOF TILE AWARD
Located in Sinemorets, Bulgaria, this single-family timber home stands on the seafront in an environment characterized by strong winds, high salinity and particularly demanding maritime conditions. Inspired by Scandinavian architecture, the house combines sustainability, energy efficiency and a close connection to the landscape through its large glazed openings, which frame sea views and create a natural integration with the coastal surroundings.
The roof plays a fundamental role in protecting the building. For this project, the Technica-10 Graphite flat roof tile by Tejas Borja was chosen, providing strength, durability and a contemporary design that perfectly complements the home’s architectural style. In addition, the roofing system was optimized through the mechanical fixing of the tiles, ensuring excellent performance against the strong winds typical of the area.
The ceramic roof tile provides safety, efficiency and a timeless aesthetic, becoming a key element in the overall durability of the project. The result is a balanced home, prepared to withstand the demands of the coastal environment, where architecture, nature and advanced construction technology coexist in perfect harmony.
