With the aim of ensuring a high-performance energy renovation and a sustainable approach, Tejas Borja was selected as the supplier of materials and solutions. The first step consisted of removing the slate and existing elements to make way for a new innovative and efficient roof. The BORJASAT roof insulation system was chosen, offering a complete and easy-to-install technical solution, significantly reducing on-site execution times.

In addition to improvements in insulation and waterproofing, the renovation also integrated a photovoltaic solar energy harvesting system using solar roof tiles. This decision represented a major step forward in reducing grid energy consumption and lowering greenhouse gas emissions. The solar roof tiles used in the project, part of Tejas Borja’s “Flat” range, provide photovoltaic energy generation that integrates seamlessly into flat ceramic roof systems. The SOLAR Flat-5XL ceramic roof tile, featuring monocrystalline technology and a performance of 23 Wp/unit, delivered an output of 5.5 units/m² of energy harvesting, offering a unique and exclusive design worldwide.

The energy renovation of the Town Hall of Aranda de Duero has been a significant achievement in terms of sustainability and energy efficiency. With its focus on solar solutions and cutting-edge thermal insulation, this exemplary project has left a positive mark on historical heritage and the fight against climate change, paving the way towards a more sustainable and conscious future in public building management.
