These 165 single-family homes are part of a new residential neighbourhood created on the outskirts of Zoetermeer (The Netherlands). It is a car-free neighbourhood where quality of life, nature and community are paramount. The small neighbourhoods are arranged like islands in a continuous park-like landscape. There is plenty of space for communal play, socialising and relaxation.
All Happy Days dwellings follow a tent-inspired design, where the pitched roof is the main protagonist to integrate the house with the surrounding natural landscape.
