Renovation of the roof of Valladolid City Hall

The main objective of the renovation project for the roof of Valladolid City Hall was to improve the building’s energy performance while ensuring architectural integration and respect for the heritage value of the complex.

Flat 5XL roof tiles from Tejas Borja were installed to renovate the sloping roof, a solution that stands out for its contemporary design, large format and high durability. Its sober and elegant aesthetics allow for perfect integration with the institutional image of the building, providing a modern look without sacrificing the historic identity of the City Hall.

As part of the commitment to sustainability and energy efficiency, the roof incorporates Tejas Borja’s 5XL solar system, an integrated photovoltaic solution that maintains the visual continuity of the roof. This system allows the generation of renewable energy without aesthetic impact, contributing to the reduction of the building’s carbon footprint and the fulfilment of energy efficiency objectives.

Likewise, to improve thermal insulation and interior comfort, the BorjaSat system has been used, a comprehensive solution for sloping roofs that optimises insulation, ventilation and watertightness.

This system guarantees high thermal performance and greater durability of the roof, improving the overall performance of the building in terms of weather conditions.

The result is a project that combines innovation, sustainability and respect for heritage, transforming the roof of Valladolid City Hall into a benchmark for energy and architectural renovation in public buildings.
