TPI and NAN Arquitectura y Construcción crecently organized the Architecture and Construction Awards for their thirteenth consecutive year, an industry awards ceremony which has become an annual flagship event for the sector.
A total of 150 professionals from the architecture and construction industries attended the thirteenth edition of the NAN Awards. The ceremony, held in the Esferic in Barcelona on 12 November, also allowed the finalists in all the categories to meet up with members of the jury, the awards’ sponsors and diverse actors from the sector.
At the ceremony, Tejas Borja received the first prize of the night in the category of Best Construction Materials in Insulation, waterproofing and paint for its high-efficiency insulation system for roofs,BORJATHERM, a prize sponsored and presented by BigMat. Our Sales Manager for Catalonia, Eduard Monés, accepted the prize on behalf of the company.
The NAN Awards once again recognised the work carried out by Tejas Borja in recent years in the area of product innovation and energy efficiency. Tejas Borja wishes to take this opportunity to congratulate all the winners and finalists for their efforts to offer the best materials to the building sector. We would also like to give special thanks to the event organizers, its prestigious jury and its sponsors.
If anything distinguishes the NAN Architecture and Construction Awards it is their diverse and highly-qualified jury who decide the award recipients. In this edition the head of the jury was Lluís Comerón i Graupera, the President of the Consejo Superior de los Colegios de Arquitectos de España, and its members included architects such as Rafael de La-Hoz, Jose María Tomás-Llavador and Patxi Mangado, in addition to other great professionals. From the construction sector, representatives of the largest building companies in Spain, such as Ferrovial, OHL, FCC and Dragados, also sat on the jury.
José Manuel Galdón Brugarolas, Managing Director of TPI, had the task of welcoming the attendees and recognising the 234 nominations which included construction materials and architectural projects. He said that all of them demonstrated <<the importance of investing in energy efficiency and innovation, the need to reform our existing buildings, the inevitability of integration of buildings into their surroundings, the latest developments in interior design and the importance of Spanish architecture overseas>>.
